Furniture purchasing procedures for the OSU and A&M Systems
The purpose of this guidance is to explain the process to purchase furniture at all campuses and locations within the OSU and A&M Systems.
The table below outlines the furniture procurement process:

$0 to $10,000
|
Process as a Small Dollar Purchase following standard purchasing policy.
|

$10,000.01 to $50,000.00
|
Departments may obtain a quote or multiple quotes, if desired, from any contracted supplier(s) and process the order following standard purchasing policy.
|
|
$50,000.01 to $249,999.99
|
The OSU Central Purchasing Department will conduct an electronic bid process through the OK Corral soliciting all contracted suppliers and others, as applicable.
|
|
$250,000 and up
|
The OSU Central Purchasing Department will conduct a formal sealed bid through the OK Corral soliciting all contracted suppliers and others, as applicable, with the assistance of LRFP.
|
All furniture orders are to be submitted on a requisition through the OK Corral, with the associated documentation attached, as outlined in standard purchasing policies. Departments should provide for a minimum lead time of eight (8) weeks for furniture orders to be processed and delivered.
When a specific brand of furniture is not represented on any competitively bid furniture contract, the furniture shall be acquired through standard purchasing policies.
